LBF Contemporary
About the project
LBF Contemporary is a contemporary art gallery in London’s Fitzrovia. It champions artists at the start of their careers through exhibitions, art fairs and the La Bastide de Laurence residency programme in Provence.
The website was designed by Rigushka. We took on everything else: the frontend, the WordPress backend, the launch and, after launch, ongoing support and hosting management.
Home page
and navigation
A gallery website shouldn’t compete with the art: the interface is just typography and white space, leaving all the attention to the works. Pages change with smooth transitions without reloading, so browsing the gallery feels like leafing through a catalogue.

The gallery’s
artists
An artist list with work previews on hover, and artist pages with bio, CV and selected works. The gallery team adds artists and their works in WordPress on its own.

Exhibitions
and fairs
Archives of exhibitions and fairs, and a page for every exhibition: text, works and installation views. The gallery publishes new exhibitions without a developer.

Residency
in Provence
A dedicated section covers the La Bastide de Laurence programme: the residency itself, its artists and its editions.

Mobile
version
On a phone the site keeps the same character: large images of the works, simple navigation and the same smooth transitions.

Backend, launch
and support
We built the WordPress backend so the gallery team can publish new exhibitions and works without a developer. We launched the site, manage its hosting and keep supporting the project: we look after the server and extend the site as the gallery needs.
